The Bistro

In my tiny town, we have this very special place to eat, drink and be merry, called The Glass Onion. A couple bought this old house a while back and turned it into this lovely Bistro. It is a miracle that it has sustained itself hereโ€” in the land of gravy and biscuits, donuts and canned light beer. It has actually been voted the best restaurant in the Columbia River Gorge several years in a row.

I love it for the quiet. I come in between all the hustle and bustle, setup my laptop and nestle in. I tend to get a lot of work done over beautiful salads, local wine and delicious coffee (It is local, too!) and sometimes I keep it super simple with just a pot of some exotic tea. I lived in San Francisco for almost twenty years and cherished my cafรฉ time. Something I have missed very much. It is so nice to have a place to go now. An atmosphere that I would have easily enjoyed in my city days. Bon Appetite!!
